THE PETE AND SARAH WOLF CHARITABLE FOUNDATION |
MISSION: The Mission of the Pete and Sarah Wolf Cancer Foundation is to provide fundng to cancer fighting entities including research centers and treatment facilities that are dealing with Cancer. |
|||||
FUNDING: Funding for this public 501(c)3 foundation is provided solely from the fees received for access to the Radar Interpretation of Storm Hazards Couse, an amateur-level radar interpretation course supporting the key life-protecting step of Threat Confirmation. 100% of the course fee ($15 per person minus $1 payment fee) goes to the foundation. The foundation doesn't want people to just donate for charity...they want them to "learn for charity", and gain a useful skill that could protect them and their families someday when dangerous weather threatens. |

ABOUT FOUNDATION: This foundation is set up by Pete Wolf, shortly after being diagnosed with terminal Stage 4 stomach cancer. Mr. Wolf wanted to design a means by which funding could be set up and distributed to entities fightning this horrible disease for years to come. The foundation is intentionally set up as very small and mostly self-run. It is operated by a single Foundation Director at a below-average salary, and a Fundraising Director paid a small part-time salary. There are no other significant expenses for the foundation, just small expenses for bookkeeping, investment, legal, and required paperwork. The foundation aims to invest its funding to support a 6-10% annual return. That annual return, plus a small portion of the base investment, will be donated to multiple entities each year, ensuring at least a 20-year existence of the foundation. |
