WHAT IS THIS? An amateur-level, online, self-study power course focused on interpretating real-time radar imagery. It provides both knowledge and practice to support learning.

WHAT IS A POWER COURSE? As a "power course", it gives you the skill, and thus the power, to utilize free radar imagery to make better decisions.

WHY IS THIS SKILL IMPORTANT? This course teaches people how to track hazards with real-time radar imagery to make better decisions when receiving Government warnings...to ensure you take protective action when in imminent danger, while reducing the impact of false alarms. It supports accurate Threat Confirmation.

WHAT DOES THIS COURSE PROVIDE? It consists of three 40-45 minute videos:
...--- Video #1: Learn about how Doppler radar works, and its key products.
...--- Video #2: Learn about radar signatures for each type of storm hazard.
...--- Video #3: Review numerous case examples and exercises to gain practice.
...........- Also includes a short Bonus Section about radar data sites and smartphone apps.

WHY COMPLETE A SELF-STUDY COURSE WITH VIDEOS RATHER THAN A LIVE ONLINE COURSE?
...--- You can complete self-study course on your own schedule, rather than an instructor's schedule.
...--- You can review parts of course previously viewed as much as needed...cannot do this in a live class.

WHAT IS THE COURSE FEE? $15, half of the cost of a weather radio, to learn how to use radar technology that provides greater value during severe weather events than what a weather radio provides.

WHAT DO PROCEEDS SUPPORT? All proceeds go to a charitable foundation supporting entities involved in cancer research and treatment.
